Redhill Furniture have been established in Australia for over 20 years, providing you with fine quality furniture, which can also be made to order, at affordable prices with a flair for contemporary, classic and rustic designs. We make furniture out of Red Gum slabs also.
All Redhill Furniture is made with predominate Australian hardwoods such as Murray River Red Gum, Western Australia Jarrah, Tasmanian Blackwood, Tasmanian Oak and Indonesian Mahogany all from sustainably managed temperate forests.
As a result of our dedication to our product designs, all these premium timbers are manufactured into beautiful timeless pieces of furniture.
By buying Australians made furniture you benefit from innovative designs, professional craftsmanship and sustainably sourced quality materials, supported by the most stringent environmental, health and safety hazards.
Our flagship timber, sourced from several river land locations, is available in a range of rich red tones and with varying degrees of gum pockets which, when filled with clear or stained resin, adds lots of “personality” to any furniture piece. Additionally, fiddle back/flame effects will make for spectacular looking items. Redgum slabs can be used to great effect on tables/cabinets/bench tops and Redgum burl, with its deliciously chaotic grain patters, lends itself to very special coffee tables, mirrors or giftware pieces.
Tasmanian Blackwood is the perfect timber for fine furniture. Boasting a variety of colours ranging from light golden-brown to deep brown /9sometimes with a reddish tint) and occasionally showing black streaks, the timber radiates a subtle beauty that makes it irresistible to Tasmanian designers. Additional character is added by the grain of the wood, which can be straight or wavy with a natural lustre.
Blackwood is easily worked, very stable and long lasting, and Blackwood artefacts are always statements of style and quality.
Indonesian Mahogany is a rich, reddish hardwood that is used in fine furniture, panelling and plywood. It is also a good choice for outdoor use. True mahogany wood doesn't need staining, sealing or pressure treating, as it is naturally resistant to insects, decay and water. It is a durable wood that is also beautiful, with a fine grain and gives off a light glow look.
